Santa Barbara wine country is quite literally “Sideways.” What this top wine movie's title hints at is the unique geography of Santa Barbara wine country. It is the longest transverse valley (East to West) found on the western Pacific coast–from Alaska to South America. This creates climate conditions perfect for world-class cool climate wines (like Pinot Noir and Chardonnay). Let’s find out what makes this region awesome and what wines to explore from Santa Barbara wine country.

Itinerary

4 night luxury wine & culinary experience: Santa Barbara, starting at $2500

Day 1: Arrival & Happy Hour

Sep 15

Meet us at the hotel lobby of a beautiful and centrally located Santa Barbara hotel at 5pm and enjoy a Sommelier-led wine tasting experience of local wines along with a spread of light bites.

Day 2: Los Olivos & Santa Maria

Sep 16

Following breakfast, journey to Los Olivos for a tasting experience at Stolpman Vineyards with owner Pete Stolpman. Indulge in an assortment of premium Stolpman wines on the patio with Pete and learn about vineyard management and wines from this region.

Followed by enough free time to explore the quaint town of Los Olivos for some boutique shopping.

Then our journey takes us to picturesque Santa Maria for an exclusive wine and food tour at Pasquille Winery.

Day 3: Santa Barbara - Funk Zone & Sunset Cruise

Sep 17

Following breakfast, you will stroll through the Funk Zone and enjoy a series of tasting experiences set up for you at Pali, Margerum, Skyenna and J.Wilkes. It's like a scavenger hunt for adults - each ending in a great glass! Don't miss the great boutique shops along the way.

We'll meet back at the hotel in time to catch our yacht tour around the Santa Barbara coastline for a sunset cruise.

Day 4: Solvang - a day with Lucas & Lewellen

Sep 18

Following breakfast we will journey up the quaint Danish town of Solvang for a one-of-a-kind experience spending the day touring the Lucas & Lewellen Vineyard with the amazing Louis Lucas. IYKYK, Louis is a celebrity in the wine world - no where else will you get this experience.

Explore the town of Solvang, and then we'll enjoy the ultimate Italian dinner feast with private dinning and exceptional wine pairing just outside of town.

Day 5: Departure

Checkout from hotel by 10am.
